Problems with Long Hole Boring
The holes don't line up in the midle of the work piece the lathe is turning at 200 rpm, this is happening to hard wood and soft wood. What am I doing wrong?
If you are using a Record Power lathe then we recommend the following. Firstly make sure the centres of the lathe line up with one another. Secondly, the speed of the lathe should be between 800 to 950 RPM. Finally, when using the shell auger, we recommend that you only cut about 3/4 inch at any one time.
